چکیده

In this paper, we consider the problem of computing the algebraic parametric equation of the Euclidean 1-center function in R, d ≥ 2, for a system of n static points and m mobile points having motion defined by rational parametric functions. We have shown that the corresponding Euclidean 1-center function is a piecewise differentiable function and have derived its exact parametric algebraic equation. If the positions of the static points and the rational parametric equations of the motion of the mobile points are given, we have proposed an algorithm that computes the parametric equation of the Euclidean 1-center function.

Geometric Facility Location under Continuous Motion Bounded-Velocity Approximations to the Mobile Euclidean k-Centre and k-Median Problems

The traditional problems of facility location are defined statically; a set (or multiset) of n points is given as input, corresponding to the positions of clients, and a solution is returned consisting of set of k points, corresponding to the positions of facilities, that optimizes some objective function of the input set. In the k-centre problem, the objective is to select k points for locatin...

Bounded-Velocity Approximation of Mobile Euclidean 2-Centres

Given a set P of points (clients) in the plane, a Euclidean 2-centre of P is a set of two points (facilities) in the plane such that the maximum distance from any client to its nearest facility is minimized. Geometrically, a Euclidean 2-centre of P corresponds to a cover of P by two discs of minimum radius r (the Euclidean 2-radius). Given a set of mobile clients, where each client follows a co...

مدل‌سازی صفحه‌ای محیط‌های داخلی با استفاده از تصاویر RGB-D

In robotic applications and especially 3D map generation of indoor environments, analyzing RGB-D images have become a key problem. The mapping problem is one of the most important problems in creating autonomous mobile robots. Autonomous mobile robots are used in mine excavation, rescue missions in collapsed buildings and even planets’ exploration. Furthermore, indoor mapping is beneficial in f...

Competitive Algorithms for Maintaining a Mobile Center

In this paper we investigate the problem of locating a mobile facility at (or near) the center of a set of clients that move independently, continuously, and with bounded velocity. It is shown that the Euclidean 1-center of the clients may move with arbitrarily high velocity relative to the maximum client velocity. This motivates the search for strategies for moving a facility so as to closely ...

The gaussian centre and the projection centre of a set of points in r3

! #"%$& ' () Finding a centre point is a fundamental problem of geometry. The Euclidean centre, or centre of the smallest enclosing sphere, provides a natural definition for the centre of a set of points. As shown in [BBKS00] and [DK04], the Euclidean centre of a set of points * + -, is unstable; small perturbations at only a few points of can result in an arbitrarily large relative change in t...
